FAQs
Here are some of the most common questions we get asked about PR and working with Nara.
We focus primarily on US and UK media, though we can secure coverage in other English-language markets. For non-English media, we have trusted international partners.
It depends on the nature of your business and your strategic goals. Typically pre-seed stage is too early, with most startups needing ongoing PR support from Series A stage onwards.
That said, depending on the type of company and strategic goals, there are always exceptions to the rule.
We set up a shared Slack channel with our clients in order to communicate without friction. We want to be seen as an extension of your team and are therefore readily available within the partnership. Our aim is to become your pseudo in-house press office.
The majority of the work we do is on a retainer basis, with partnerships lasting years not just months. However, we also handle standalone projects if there is a clear scope of work and piece of news to announce.
If we had to pick three qualities, we would pick availability, trust, and belief in the value of PR.
Availability in the sense that we need a deep understanding of your business and the views you hold to do great work. And because the news cycle moves so quickly, we will sometimes need confirmation of an interview, or a client to go on TV, within 24 hours.
Trust in the sense that we are the experts and, though PR strategy will always be a dialogue, a respect for our experience and understanding of how the media works will set us up for success.
Belief in the value of PR, because it can be hard to quantify! PR practitioners obsessing over causal relationships between press and growth are missing the bigger picture - this is about long-term value and reputation building. Clients who understand this long-term value are the ones who see the best results from our partnership.
